It’s Easy to Earn Your Rewards:
Earning your full rewards is easy. All you have to do to qualify are a few simple tasks that make banking easier. To earn your rewards, simply do the following on your Kasasa Tunes account each monthly qualification cycle:
- At least 12 check card purchases
- Be enrolled in and agree to receive eStatements
- Be enrolled in and log into online banking or mobile banking
That’s seriously it! And if for some reason you don’t earn your rewards one month, don’t worry — your account is still free and you can get back to earning your rewards the very next cycle that you qualify.

Information is accurate as of 3/29/2022. Rates and rewards are variable, and at any time rates, qualifications, and rewards may change at the discretion of HCCU. Account approval, conditions, qualifications, limits, time frames, enrollments, log-ons and other requirements apply. Enrollment in electronic services (e.g. online banking, mobile banking, electronic statements) and log-ons are required to meet some of the account’s qualifications. There are no recurring monthly service charges or fees to open or close this account. See our Fee Schedule for fees that may apply to this account. Fees may reduce earnings.
KASASA ACCOUNTS – For all Kasasa accounts you may qualify for monthly rewards if you meet the applicable minimum qualification requirements for each qualification cycle. To meet the minimum qualification requirements you must: 1) make 12 purchases that post and settle, during that cycle, with the HCCU debit card linked to this draft account; 2) access online or mobile banking at least one time per cycle; 3) be enrolled in and receive eStatements.
Account transactions and activities may take one or more Business Days to post and settle to the account and all must do so during the Monthly Qualification Cycle in order to qualify for the account’s rewards. The following activities do not count toward earning account rewards: ATM-processed transactions, transfers between accounts, debit card purchases processed by merchants and received by HCCU as ATM transactions, and purchases made with any debit card issued by someone other than HCCU.
Automatic Qualifications and Bonuses – A new customer who opens a Kasasa checking account for the first time may receive the standard rewards (Kasasa Cash or Kasasa Cash Back) or a bonus reward (Kasasa Tunes) one time without meeting any of the requirements during the initial Monthly Qualification Cycle. This feature is only available to new Kasasa account holders one time, one pay out, and will not be honored for accounts that convert between deposit products. The automatic qualifications and/or bonuses feature may be discontinued by HCCU at any time.
Extended Non- Qualification – If you fail to meet the minimum qualification requirements for three (3) or more consecutive qualification cycles you will be removed from the Kasasa Rewards Checking program and placed in an alternate checking account that does not receive rewards or ATM refunds. Once removed from the Kasasa Rewards Checking program, you can be converted back to a Kasasa account by contacting the credit union member service line or inbox and making the request.
Qualification Cycle – The monthly qualification cycle is defined as a period beginning on the last day of the prior calendar month and ending on the next to last day of the calendar month in which dividends are paid.
Statement Cycle – The Statement Cycle begins on the first calendar day of the month, ends on the last calendar day of the month.
Kasasa Tunes – The Kasasa Tunes account will earn a grant for up to an aggregate total of $10.00 (which includes any applicable taxes) in refunds for any iTunes, Amazon.com and/or Google Play purchases made with your HCCU debit card on this draft account in the qualifying cycle.
Reimbursements are made for ITunes, Amazon.com, and Google Play purchases made in the qualifying cycle following the cycle in which you received your grant, and will be credited to your account on the last day of that statement cycle.
ATM fees incurred will be refunded in the same statement cycle in which you qualified.
When Kasasa Tunes Qualifications are not met, iTunes, Amazon.com, Google Play purchases and ATM fees are not refunded
Kasasa Tunes Sign up Bonus—When you open your Kasasa Tunes account, you will be refunded up to an aggregate total of $20.00 (which includes applicable taxes) for iTunes, Amazon.com, and/or Google Play purchases, made with your HCCU Kasasa Tunes debit card that post and settle to your account during the first 60 calendar days after your account is opened. This refund will be credited to your account on the last day of the statement cycle in which your combined iTunes, Amazon.com, and/or Google Play purchases post and settles to your account. Any portion of the sign up bonus that is not used within the stated time period will be forfeited. No minimum balance is required to obtain this bonus.
ATM REWARDS FOR ALL KASASA ACCOUNTS – We will assess ATM fees and refund both the internal and ATM surcharges assessed at domestic ATMs we do not own or operate. You will receive surcharge reimbursements of up to a maximum of $4.99 per single domestic transaction during the monthly qualification cycle in which you qualified. ATM receipts must be presented within 45 calendar days after the Statement Cycle where the reimbursement was applicable for reimbursement of ATM fees of $5.00 or higher. If you do not meet all of the minimum qualification requirements for Kasasa accounts during the monthly qualification cycle, no ATM fees will be refunded to you.
